PARIS, FRANCE (November 18, 2009) - Ceedo has announced a targeted solution for virtualizing the security software (middleware) that is used to power hardware and software-based two-factor authentication solutions. The solution was unveiled at this year's Cartes & IDentification 2009 trade show in Paris, France.
Based on Ceedo Enterprise, the company's enterprise-grade virtualization client, Ceedo's solution allows security vendors to create self-contained versions of their authentication solutions. With a hardware-based solution (hardware 2FA tokens), Ceedo allows the middleware to be carried and run automatically from the device itself without requiring installation. With software-based solutions (2FA soft tokens), Ceedo allows the middleware to be deployed without installation and locked to a specific PC or device.
Additional benefits of using Ceedo include the ability to remotely update the middleware when a new version is available, and the ability to include additional applications alongside the middleware as part of a secured virtual workspace.
Ceedo's solutions have already been deployed by leading security vendors in the banking and insurance industries, and the company is pursuing channel partnerships to market this new middleware virtualization solution.
