CEEDO AND EUTRONSEC ANNOUNCE DEPLOYMENT OF SECURE VIRTUAL WORKSPACE E-BANKING SOLUTION IN 5 LEADING EUROPEAN BANKS

Solution enables the banks’ customers to securely access their accounts online, and digitally sign financial documents from anywhere using the Ceedo Portable Virtual Desktop integrated with Eutronsec PKI token technology

Rosh Ha’ayin, ISRAEL / Treviolo, ITALY – March 3, 2008 – Ceedo Technologies, Ltd., a leading provider of portable desktop virtualization software, and Eutronsec, an Italian vendor of e-business solutions for IT security, today announced that their joint solution for Virtual Managed e-banking Workspace is being deployed by several leading banks in Europe. The solution includes a secure USB drive with an on-board e-banking software suit using the Ceedo Virtual Desktop technology, which enables customers to access their online bank accounts and perform secured financial transactions from anywhere. Eutronsec provides the secure USB hardware for the solution, while Ceedo’s portable desktop virtualization technology enables the PC software environment to launch on any PC without requiring installation. Using the solution from Eutronsec and Ceedo, bank customers can enjoy a fully secure e-banking environment anywhere, without the need to install any authentication software on the PC.

The solution has been developed by Eutronsec and Ceedo over the past 18 months. The partnership has resulted in a “self-contained device”, storing its own PC software on-board, which provides the ultimate managed service platform for banks. The joint product has proven to increase user adoption for hardware-based authentication, reduce support calls and has already been implemented by leading banks in Europe including Banca delle Marche Group, Monte dei Paschi di Siena (MPS) and Banca Carige Group.

Eutronsec was the first company to integrate Flash memory into its security devices to improve their usability. Now, Eutronsec’s “Combo” hardware technology together with Ceedo’s virtualization software transforms the security token into a completely self-contained system that can be used anywhere.

Since the Ceedo virtualization platform supports any standard PC Windows application, and is updated over the Web, banks can use the solution as a managed service delivery platform for their customers. The banks’ offering includes both e-banking authentication and legally-binding digital signatures, enabling their customers to sign documents on any PC using their secure USB token. The Digital Signature functionality is seamlessly and automatically deployed to all the bank’s customers over the Web, without any customer intervention required.
