Extend Mobile Services to the PC/Web Environment
Ceedo Mobile presents an opportunity for phone vendors, mobile operators, content distributors and other mobile service providers to leverage a brand new platform for phone and PC convergence. For example, a mobile service provider could place a converged PC/mobile content portal on the flash memory of a mobile phone, and enable subscribers to easily discover, deliver and consume content just by connecting their phone to any PC. A Telco could distribute USB flash drives with a VOIP application, which can be used by its subscribers on any PC when they travel abroad, with the calls billed to their home phone account. A TV service provider could give out USB flash drives with security hardware and a TV viewing application, which enables their subscribers to access the TV content on any PC without installing any software.
The opportunities for providing services, by bundling a few applications on top of the Ceedo platform, are vast. The applications, appearance, and experience of Ceedo can be customized to fit the requirements, brand and marketing concept of the service provider. Since the applications do not require installation on the PC, the Ceedo solution significantly reduces the support calls to the service provider compared to a standard solution which does require installation.
