Ceedo Technologies and RSA have partnered to provide a unique solution for remote access and productivity by combining Ceedo Enterprise with RSA SecurID technology.

Ceedo Enterprise enables multiple applications to be virtualized together to create a virtual work environment. When used in conjunction with RSA SecurID technology, Ceedo Enterprise provides secure remote access to corporate resources without sacrificing end-user convenience.

By combining the Ceedo workspace with the RSA SecurID Token for Windows Desktops, users can benefit from an integrated remote access and authentication solution all running from a portable USB device.

RSA SecurID Software Token running on a USB memory token combines the advantages of a hardware token with software based one time password. Users get the convenience of portability plus the ease of use features such as autofill so they do not need to manually transcribe the one time password when authenticating from their token.

For added security the solution can be deployed on encrypted, PIN protected memory tokens. The token based SoftID solution can be combined with other applications running from the Ceedo virtual workspace such as VPN, secure browser, email client, office applications, and unified communications for a complete, secure portable office.

By making the RSA SecurID Software Token application portable, Ceedo Enterprise allows embedding of SecurID technology into a convenient personal storage device, extending the life of the solution and enhancing its usability – with no need for the user to install software before getting started or to replace batteries down the line.

Once out in the field, Ceedo Enterprise Devices can be provisioned via the standard RSA SecurID Software Token file-based provisioning method, and via CT-KIP -- there is no additional configuration required to interoperate with your existing RSA SecurID infrastructure.

When using the token users can either manually authenticate by launching the application directly, or in an automated fashion by running the onboard version of Internet Explorer, where the RSA SecurID Web Browser Plug-In for Internet Explorer is pre-installed.

Ceedo Enterprise includes the ability to run the Internet Explorer Browser as a profiled application. This means that the browser itself is not installed on the device but rather on the host PC. However, the user profile (including settings, favorites, cookies and plugins) are carried on the device and used whenever the browser is launched from Ceedo. When launched, this browser has the RSA SecurID Web Plugin pre-installed for automated integration with SecurID-protected websites and SSL VPNs.

For the user to authenticate, he or she simply enters the URL for the SecurID-protected login page. If software token automation has been enabled for the device or website, the user can then authenticate using their username and PIN.
