 The Enterprise Need
Many enterprises today need to grant access to enterprise resources from PCs which are not managed by the enterprise, for example PCs that are owned by subcontractors, consultants and vendors. In some cases, companies allow or sometimes even require the employees to bring their own PCs to work.
The ability to access the enterprise resources from these PCs raises three important issues:
- Security – Isolation of corporate data from non-corporate applications running on the unmanaged PCs.
- Manageability – IT needs to remotely manage the corporate data and applications deployed on the unmanaged PCs.
- Supportability – the enterprise computing environment should be isolated from the main Windows environment on the unmanaged PCs, to reduce support issues and prevent application conflicts.
Ceedo Enterprise™ Solution
Ceedo Enterprise enables corporations to easily deploy and manage enterprise workspaces on unmanaged PCs. Ceedo’s virtualization technology ensures isolation between the enterprise workspace and the environment of the host PC, while enabling the user to easily switch between both environments.
The solution consists of the Ceedo client with enterprise applications installed and a VPN if needed.
The Ceedo environment can be provisioned to the unmanaged PC itself, or on an external USB or Flash drive; which makes it portable to any work, home or other PC when traveling.
